Comments
Toured up Chickadee Valley and ascended Whymper North Face. There was extensive wind effect on the north aspect from valley bottom to ridgetop. Travel was fast but ski quality would have been terrible. We continued to the summit of Mt Whymper and skied the South Face back down to the highway. Ski quality was excellent with 10 - 30 cms of low density snow over a variety of surfaces. Sluffing was minimal and we did not observe any signs of instability today.
