Comments
Dug a pit and did a column test on a very steep spot just below ridge top. Snow depth was 100-120cm at that elevation. Most recent storm/wind slab showed resistant planar failure at two taps from the wrist. Sudden planar failure at 45cm at four taps from the elbow. We reevaluated our position and chose to move back towards and ride less steep, more supported terrain.
