Comments
Skied from Feather parking to the north east ridge of SE Cleveland and down the NE glacier. In the AM the snow had a soft crust as it was above 0c overnight temps. We did not observe signs of instability such as whumpfing / cracks / drum-like sounds; however, on the descent back to the car the snow was isothermal starting approximately 1100-1200m. On the ascent up the peak we encountered hard snow and at times used ski crampons. On the descent down the NE glacier the snow was wind pressed, and settled (you could feel about 30 cms of this snow in the upper snowpack). The winds were moderate from the north today, it kept the temps cool all day up high. There was some drifting of snow due to the winds.
