Comments

10 cm new dry snow in the last 24 hrs, on top of 60 cm from last storm cycle over last 7 days. Dug a pit and found that HST=180 cm on Fraser shoulder. Pit was located on sheltered lee side facing slope, near the visible rock band.

Compression test results -

17 Mod- clean shear failure 60 cm down.

20 mod - clean shear 80 cm down.

Noticeable slab failures in both of the failures. ´Popped’ off in one piece.

Overall good skiing, lots of pow everywhere. Was still snowing when we left today. Not much ski traffic, some sledder traffic in the chutes closer to Fraser.

Weather: Overcast/ low visibility all day. Stormed all of the day ~5 cm.

Happy trails!
