Comments
Barely any people at the disco centre today. Only seen 2 other groups up Connaught Creek. Skinning up conditions were firm, then crusty, then “normal” snow once crossing the creek to north aspects which we did around 1820m.
Great skin track going up to Balu and then the final vertical 150m to reach Nicci’s / North Bowl is good crusty side hilling practice.
Good skiing in north bowl, some large debris skiers right after entering from the ramp. The middle section was great, snow felt slightly dense in some areas and there is some small debris scattered around but easy to avoid. The final pitch down to the creek was also good powder snow but again there are some chunks of debris lurking.
Easy ride out back to the parking lot.
