Comments

Rode N face of Twin Cairns and then skinned over to Wawa Ridge and skied down to Healy Main Drain and out the summer hiking trail. Ridgetop was very thin and wind affected with tough travel on Twin Cairns, although the N face skied well. Open slopes had a thin windskin above 10-20cm of supportive pow, snow turned blower and got deeper on sheltered aspects. HS was around 50-70 on average. Healy trail was really well traveled with no rocks exposed. Plenty of sharks still lurking on the slopes, especially right off Wawa Ridge. In the shade at treeline we saw up to size 10 surface hoar with very small surface hoar up to size 2 in the alpine.
