Comments

It was hot the last two days with a light freeze over night. In the sunshine Meadows the crust was supportive to skis but 10 cm boot pen. Relative cool cloudy day. When the sun came out at 3 pm the crust broke down quickly and sw slopes below 2300m became a bit punchy.

A new size 3 avalanche to ground toward Kootaney park on NW shallow alpine slope. And size 2 wet slab in eagle basin in the Alpine on SW aspect. Plus a numerous wet loose in the last 24 hrs. Start extra early and get out before the crust breaks down. Didn't notice any dry snow but you might find some on polar aspects above 2600m.
