Comments
Nice day on the aemmer couloir. Surprisingly good skiing. Firm cramponing at the bottom led to deeper knee/ thigh trenching for most of the ascent. Higher up, the snow amount lessened with as little as 1 foot covering hard ice. We used crampons and ice axe for the ascent. Very powerful sluffing on the descent. Extremely spotty but supportive coverage above lake Annette.
