Comments

Intended to ski in tryst area today, but missed the initial turn up for the cut block so continued up the normal descent gully instead. At about 11:30 am we heard an avalanche come down but weren't sure where, until all the sudden it was in the gully we were in. We were lucky to be off to the side of the gully and near the tail end of where the slide stopped. We got hit by the powder cloud and some debris, but were ok. We suspect the avi came off one of the major slide paths on tents south face, but didn't get a visual of the whole slide.

Based on the slide we immediately decided to ski down, as we were descending we saw two more avalanches off tent, one was maybe size one the other was maybe 0.5 and dry loose. Both were off south aspects in the alpine. When we got back to the old road where you skin out the wind had picked up and there were light flurries.
