Comments
Skied 2 laps on Avalanche crest today. Did mellow entry early on the ridge in the trees avoiding any big steep openings. Good skiing on settled powder, not much sloughing. On second lap around 2pm snow felt a bit more heavy and thin sun crust started to form in places. No instabilities noted on the down. On the final traverse of the big steep slope to gain the ridge had easy or moderate hand sheer result with uneven break 70cm down. only other 2 parties skied the Avalanche crest today.
