Comments
Spent 8 days touring Eldorado area to 2300m ending 180223. Best riding TL and BTL. Winds from all directions during week occasionally to extreme. Stability improved throughout week with skiing to 45 deg in glades by end of week. Buried near surface facets down 5-30 180216 rounded as week went on but new crop developed in top 12-20 with nightly lows from -16 to -26C. Winds predominantly from polar asp esp NW during week.
Skiing BTL gave ski pen to 35cm esp on W asp slopes. Alp hammered but excellent cramponing practice. 3 naturals sz 1.0 observed during entire week. Precip totals very light with 23cm recorded for week, but windslabs to 50cm formed in crossloaded terrain at treeline. Cornice tabs fragile.
