Comments

Spent four days skiing the Rockwall. Temperatures ranged from -20 on Thursday night to +2 on Sunday. Strong winds started Saturday morning. We witnessed a size 2 slab avalanche out of extreme terrain on Tumbling Peak at 10 am Saturday. Saturday night we heard extensive avalanche activity while camped near Rockwall peak. On the ski out via Helmet Creek today we saw evidence of a natural avalanche cycle to size 2.5 on all aspects. The Ochre Peak path ran almost to the skin track crossing the bottom. No avalanches were observed Sunday despite rapid warming.
