Comments
Conditions were pretty bad. Wind effected everywhere resulting in hard, icy conditions. Some Whumpfing was observed in small pockets of wind slab but because of the strong winds these were hard to find even if you were looking at them. We stayed on mellow terrain to keep speed down in the icy conditions. There was evidence of past avalanches but these would have likely occurred prior to the wind event that effectively scoured the pass. See accompanying photos.
