Comments
Lots of sun up until noon, but clouds starting at noon. Skiied the SE slopes above the hut in the early afternoon; a bit heavy/sticky, but still quite enjoyable. Then did a lap down the open trees/pillows that run down the east flank of the ridge S of the lake; excellent powder!
We avoided exposure to the other northern aspects of the basin (Honey Bronzed), as all of the ridgelines were overhung by very large and overhanging cornices.
Almost all south, east, or west slide paths had debris in them, size 1-2. Not sure if it was wet slides, or dry slides during the previous weeks snow; debris appeared to be covered with some fresh snow.
South facing alpine aspects appeared to have strong wind ripples/scallops
