Comments

Thin and variable at the pass with signs of recent avalanche activity. Wind effect and areas of soft snow or firmer sastrugi. Probed with a ski pole and felt strong over weak layering. Visible wind transport of snow off the high peaks.
Observed a variety of crowns at different elevations and terrain features. Likely occurred during rapid loading from south winds earlier in the week on a NE-aspect between 700-1350m . HS-N-R1-D2 (multiple crowns)
