Comments
Skied in the Nadahini area today. Sunny skies and calm winds made for an excellent day in the alpine. With low hazard, we decided to step out in our terrain choice and skied a steep southeast-facing slope. Our biggest concern of the day was cornice failure with daytime heating so we chose a slope that had no exposure to cornices. Solar radiation was strong throughout the day but the snow surface stayed cool. We recorded a temperature of -3.4 in the shade at 2100 M at 2:30 pm. Ski quality was good with supportive snow that made for fast skiing.
