Comments
Morning started at -4°. During the climb up there was various sizes of surface hoar the entire way up the hill. At around 1700m we began to notice a sun crust forming about 5-10cm thick mostly on SW facing aspects. Aspects that were facing the rising sun had lost some of their surface hoar. At 2150m we had an average HS 110cm on an open west facing slope. By 13:00 we noticed some pinwheeling and snow sticking on top of our skis. No avalanches observed.
