Comments

Touring day into Jubilee bowl. Snow conditions were surprisingly good, with ~20cm of powder sitting on top of 50-60cm of consolidating snowpack. We rode W and NW aspects with no signs of instability. At ridge top there was some wind affect, but nothing drastic.

A quick pit was done at TL (~1600m, W aspect, 31 deg. slope). Snow depth was 72cm, with poorly defined layers seen 20cm, 35cm, and 50cm down. Compression test resulted in Easy resistant planar failure down 20cm on the storm slab interface (CTE 4). No other failures were seen.
