First 3 runs of the day built our confidence as ski cuts etc produced little results and it appeared the pack was gaining strength above the weak layer, but then came this surprise only 100m up from the road. Good thing we were practicing normal protocol with spacing/spotting otherwise would of been a ride for 2 instead of just the lead
