Comments
Great deep day in Mt West. We found an estimated 40 cm fresh powder from the last two days, and very foggy/socked in on top. We rode dense trees and meadows, visibility was very low. Not much base yet in the trees, lots of stucks.
It snowed all day, some graupel in the morning and light new snow all day, probably 5 cm accumulation in 6 hrs.
We aggressively rode small steep features and couldn’t find any instabilities, but we didn’t ever get up high enough to find any wind slabs or even much wind affect.
Watch out for tree wells!
