Comments

Parked at Cerise Creek and traveled up to the Matier-Vantage saddle. Worked from the saddle to the 2000m mark on Vantage Ridge. Skied north-northwest through sparse trees and open alpine slopes up to 35 degrees to 1600m. Snow conditions were 10-15 cm dry and light with no noticeable crust on north-northwest aspects. Saw two small crown lines on northwest facing slopes at treeline. No other signs of instability and snow seems to have bonded well with cold temperatures and clear skies Saturday night. Minimal wind affect on Vantage Ridge.
