Good skiing found on NW treeline slopes and and an E-facing below treeline gulley near Sunwapta Station.
20 cm 4F snow lay over unreactive P wind slab on a NW treeline slope. Evidence of previous loose slides from cliff features, but only minor pinwheeling noted today despite the hot sun. Several 24-72+ hour-old wind slabs to size 2 stepping down to ground in cross-loaded SE alpine and treeline features.
Snow below treeline was the expected facet and crust mess. A 1 cm melt-freeze crust was present to 1600 m, and intermittently to ~1800 m on an east aspect.
