Comments

Touchy conditions on South Hector. recent snow + recent wind + sitting on top of faceted snow. Experienced Shooting cracks on the way up. We found windslabs to be easy to trigger. We avoided steep and unsupported features for this obvious reasons, but still managed to trigger some small windslabs at treeline. All these observations suggested for conservative choices
