Comments

Variable HS dependent on aspect, elevation and drainage. Widespread 3-10mm SH overlies 10-15cm of F facets above the 151122 interface SH (10-20mm)/FC/MFcr up to 1950m in sheltered non solar areas. Above 2000m, 10-15 cm of F facets has been redistributed by variable winds, creating a 5cm 1F to K- breakable wind board/hard slab in exposed areas. In sheltered areas in the alpine 10-15cm of F facets overlie a 10cm of 1F facets.

The upper and mid pack are progressively resistant above 1700m (F-1F). There is a 1cm K IFrc above 1700m ~30 above the ground with 4F facets below it.

Sheltered areas in the alpine and at treeline skied quite well. Evidence of a Na cycle to size 1.5 in the recent HST.

10-15 cm of F facets overlie the Nov 15 FC, MFcr, SH in sheltered areas.
Alpine start zones are above threshold. HS ranges from ~45cm at 1450 to 1m5 in the alpine and tree line—feature and drainage dependent. Lots of open creeks, boulders and other early season hazards.
Widespread wind affect in the alpine in certain drainages.
Upper and mid pack are progressively resistant in the alpine and at treeline., with the exception of a IFrc ~25-30 cm above the ground with 4F facets below it.
Excellent ski quality between 2350 and 1800m in sheltered N aspects.
2cm 1F MFcr on steeper ESE and S aspects at 2100m and below.
