Comments
Attempted to ski the Aussie couloir - approached from cerise creek. Fast travel up to the col of anniversary glacier. No ski crampons needed throughout the entire day. Once you crest the col, it gets windy and cold. Started bootpacking the couloir with boot depth penetration. While approaching the first choke, the slope became full-on ice and would be wild to ski. We bootpacked about a third of the way up in hopes of improvement, no such thing happened, and downclimbed. The ski down anniversary glacier was mostly wind-pressed but still quite variable.
