Comments
Turns at 1250 m elevation on steep pitches lead to ~ top 10 cm of snow sliding to the bottom of the pitch, with some pin-wheeling where the size of the accumulated snow-boulder was < 0.5 m in diameter. Little snow movement on less steep pitches. And then lower on the mountain, ~ 1100 m elevation, there was very little snow moving. Snow melt from the tree branches was causing crusts to form around tree bases.
