Wolverine

Awesome day in the wolverine today. Snowpack height to date is between 80-100+cm depending on aspect. Cornice development in the alpine, wind scoured windward mountain tops and loaded leeward alpine slopes. Prominent rain crust at lower elevations remains intact but less substantial at higher elevations (5500ft) . The snowpack was somewhat right side up despite the rain crust found mid pack at 5500ft. No avalanches observed. Great hero snow as 40cm of lower density snow sits on top of increasingly consolidated base.
