Comments

We triggered a big size 1, or possibly a small size 2, slab avalanche (on purpose) on a small isolated slope by breaking a cornice. The cornice broke easily with only one firm jump. The block that broke from the cornice was about 2 m long and .7 m tall. The Avalanche ran out 40-50 m and laterally propagated about 60 m and ran out into a small plateau. The Crown was approximately 0.5 m thick. The slope varied between ~32 to 42°.
