We were one of a few parties on the top hat traverse today. Amazing powder conditions in the bowl coming down from top hat. We probed 150-180 cm depth at the col 2400 m elevation. So much more snow than east of the divide! There was a tiny bit of wind effect in the moraines below the col. No signs of instability noted by our group. The ski out was a little spicy with a short hike necessary where the creek was open.
