Comments
Climbed icicle fairy today. The snow on approach is about 30 to 50 cm deep. We found up to 1 inch breakable surface crust on steeper solar aspect. No new or recent avalanche observed in our area today. First pitch there is no dagger around last 2 bolts. So you need to pull hard to muscle up the section. Ice had a bit sun effect, pretty easy to swing in, but require attention to find good ice to place your screws. The route is in the shade til 1130. Then warm up rapidly.
