Comments
Lots of folks in the Chickadee Valley today (we counted about 15 on the whymper side and about the same on various paths on the south side of the valley. Steeper solar aspects were crusty with about 5-10cm of low density fresh snow on top. Crust was present at all elevations we skied (up to 2350 m on south or west aspect). No deeper instabilities notes but did find facetted areas on ridge crests near rocks. Weather was cool (-11) at car at 9:30am and -5 by 3pm. Snow came in heavy around 1pm along with moderate west winds.
