Comments

Much stronger snowpack at treeline in the Takakkaw Falls area than in many other areas of the Banff, Yoho & kootenay Region. Still able to see a slight weakness and get some hard test results in the basal facets down 150cm. Shallow areas in this region may be weaker and deserve more respect. No other significant shears found. Moist surface snow up to 1800m. Lots of avalanche activity to the Tak Falls road below Wapta Peak, but with the large cornices up on Wapta Peak it still a place to move through quickly.
