Comments

Warm sunny day spring in White Pass. Skiff of snow overnight in some areas disappeared quick once sun came out. Snow pack at valley bottom is quickly getting isothermal and bare ground showing in some trailhead areas. We found travel was better in morning with some breakable crust before noon, then sled and snowshoeing challenging in afternoon (sinking at times through 30cm to ground.) Rails along tracks are exposed now between mile 39 to mile 40 at Bennett making sledding along tracks dangerous and soon impassable. No natural avalanches observed on north aspects of Halcyon Mt. Temp at noon at Bennett was 8C.
