No need for skins. Booted on supportive melt crust all the way to the base of Skyladder. 5-10 cm wind deposited snow bonding fairly well to 2-5 cm melt crust. Looks like a skiing party bailed part way up yesterday. We made it a bit further and had to pull the plug because things just got icier the higher we got. The melt crusts ran up to 3000 m, and appeared to keep on going.
