Comments
After climbing into the alpine we quickly ran into evidence of wind loading on a shaded NW aspect. Slab ranged from 8-20cm below the new snow with noticeable settling and some whumpfing. We turned around at this point. Stability and snow conditions on lower slopes were excellent.
