Comments
We rode in the groundhog zone near Barkerville today. We found good riding with 10 cm. of new snow and 35 cm. of recent storm snow sitting on a thin crust. The strong, SW. ridgetop winds were building fresh wind slabs throughout the day. These wind slabs will become increasingly reactive to human triggers throughout the weekend as more snow and strong winds continue.
