Skied Top Hat today. Numerous avalanches on the descent as the other min indicated. We skied after them and had another release. Crowns were all 30cm ish, and releasing 30-60m wide. There were sizeable shooting cracks with ever turn that was in the fresh snow. I feel people might say it’s a sluff or not a big deal but it felt on the cusp of being an incident so marking it that way so more people see it. Looked like there was a remote trigger on a windslab on the ridge to Carnarvon as well. Having skied after the group that posted the min there was an additional slide from skiers left that covered most of the tracks in front of us that was sizeable. Debated skinning back up and going down Hamilton lakes but still didn’t want to be in that terrain going up either. I could have easily set off another similar slide at any point if I wanted to in the first pitch of skiing so we skied the bed surfaces and debris out which skied ok. At least 50% of the terrain we skied on the way down was avalanche debris. Another group followed us and we tried to get out of the way of hangfire asap. I was surprised by the conditions based on having several days in the zone over the past week. I do not think east/north east facing slopes in Yoho are green brick. Although, we were over at isolation col and mt McArthur. We did see similar loading and numerous avalanches when we were skiing there 26 Jan. Today felt sketchy for the forecast rating.
