There is trouble brewing at Bijoux. A significant layer of surface hoar has developed, and in some places at tree line it is covered by rime or a thin wind slab. We got a small (10 cm) wind slab to pop on this layer over a small convex roll. With snow in the forecast, this will be a layer to watch at all elevations and aspects.
