Comments

Skied the N bowl off of Iago. Very thin cloud cover and very light flurries all day, with a few breaks of blue sky between 11am-2pm. Temps stayed around -12 all day, and there was only a moderate wind at the summit of Iago. Ran into 2 avalanche paths that had slid in the last 1-2 days, both with crown depths of ~60 cm and on 45 degree slopes below tree line. Triggered a small section directly above one of these crowns, that slid for about 10 m. Other than that, we didn’t observe any instabilities. The snow was deep powder in open and dense trees, and a dream to ski on.
