Comments
5cm new snow last 24 hr @ 1100m,15cm at tline. Skied well supported open treed slopes <30 deg. Light winds variable from Sw, cloudy with broken periods. Occasional light snow. No accumulation during day.
Another party on smallish convex roll skier triggered 50cm x 40m crown which ran 100 m over running standard uptrack. Failed on 4th track down reportedly running slowly with skier easily skiing out side and below. Interestingly the debris pulled out lateral slab on lower angle terrain (~26 deg) below. Hasty profile in pic. Slab composed of 35cm fist, 15 cm 4f, failing on well preserved surface hoar on 1f bed surface. This feature is a regular performer.
