Comments
If you can endure the icy wash-boarded drive, there are some great conditions in k-country. Skied tent trees south today with a snowpack averaging 150cm around 2100, 25 degree east aspect to over 3m at ridgeline (2210m). The deeper snow is making some lines that are normally choked with xmas trees very skiable. Ski pen was around 15cm with 30cm boot pen. Did not dig a pit but did some hard ski cuts on short/steep convex slopes with no result. Weather was around -10 all day, felt like high humidity, light west winds below ridgeline, trace snow. Fast and fun powder skiing on a supportive base.
