Comments
Beautiful day at Three Guardsmen, 20-25 cm blower powder on top of 80-120 cm base. Compression test (CH 40cm) revealed the persistent surface hoar layer 30-40 cm down in two separate locations.
Weather was calm and sunny in the morning, clouded over and wind picked up to around 30 km/hr from the NW by the end of the day, moving snow and filling in our tracks.
No signs of fresh avalanche along the pass, but expect some wind loading overnight.
