Day started out cold -18c in the morning, along the power line east of the Kootenay pass. Winds were light with moderate gust along ridgelines. No signs of an sun crust on the south slopes we skied on. Sun felt warm in the afternoon but no change in the snow condition. Visibility was good all day, no signs of any avalanches
