Comments
On approach to Caldwell Creek (bootpacking, not riding today) we noticed some signs of cohesion among the top ~20cm snow sitting on top of a crust (possibly sun crust) on E facing slope w/o tree cover. Location was not safe enough to dig a pit for more info, but these instances of that top 20cm starting to behave like a slab was in contrast to how unconsolidated it was elsewhere, and varied from our expectations based on the forecast.
