Comments

Set out pretty late in the morning for a wander out to Mongolia bowl. It was warmer than we expected and we found a thin crust layer at all elevations.

We saw no signs of instability but we saw dramatic change in the snow during the few hours we were out.

At the start of our trip (11.45am) there was light powder under the crust which had turned heavy and wet by the time we came down (around 2.30).

Riding wasn’t great, but it was better than sitting at home!
