Comments
Skied SW (Cats - short 50m upper pitch only) and E/SE (No Dogs) slopes from 1300m to 850m. Light winds at ridge top and temps 0 to -2 (est.). Moderate to heavy snow falling all day with reactive storm slab building over preserved surface hoar. Shooting cracks and whumfing observed in open trees near ridge top. Multiple remotely triggered (up to 20m away) size 1 avalanches occurred while both climbing and descending; crowns ~35cm with notable propogation. Very touchy conditions. Natural avalanches were also heard from distant obscured slopes.
