Comments
Skied trees and alpine at Puzzle Peak along with several other parties. Managed to find some excellent alpine turns by picking blown-in lanes on the ramp, where HS varied from 20 to 120. Lots of rocks and boulders. Trees below are deep powder HS of 80-130+.
Most alpine aspects were heavily wind affected, with stripped ridges and ribs on all south and west aspects. Significant deposition observed on NE aspect of Dolomite shoulder. No signs of instability.
The rock slide on Puzzle has retrogressed further up the peak and the scarps are way less severe than when it first occurred.
