Comments

Had a fun day at The Gorge. First run was a on a SW aspect and there was noticeable wind affect at the top and a crust near the surface.

Run two was a NE aspect. We dug a few hand pits on the way up and found the storm snow slid easily. Dug a proper pit and got a CTM19 down 30, sudden planar result. Snow was 1metre deep where we dug (about 2,000m) and the rest seemed pretty well bonded. Skied our run cautiously but didn't have any surprises going down. Snow was great.

We experience a bit of cracking and some small settlements while breaking trail. Temp felt close to 0 most of the day.
