Comments
Hot day in the Hasler, riding smashed potatoes snow. Surface was moist with temps being 10 degrees at 1460m where we dug our pit HS 218 with the early Feb crust down 80cm test results ECTP30. Moderate sustained ridge top winds from the SW. surprising lack of large avalanches. We noted several avalanches under cornices and a few avalanches in more treed areas that we normally wouldn’t suspect having avalanches.
