Comments
It was touchy out there today, with far more snow in the Callaghan than reported at Whistler. Witnessed 2 skier accidental and one snowmobile accidental on Gin Peak above hanging lake. Skier triggered slides were size 1, snowmobile was size 1.5. Triggered an additional size 1 (50cm crown, 20m propagation) myself on a slope just slightly over 30 degrees. The avalanche appeared to run within the storm snow, though we did not have a chance to investigate. Was able to ski out with no incident due to the small size of the slope and the fact that the avalanche broke at my feet.
